Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
